Typical Excentric Readers

Typical Excentric Readers from New Jersey are Megan Keenan and her friend Zoe shown here with the banana-seat bikes they unearthed behind an old barn while reading a copy of their favorite paper, The Sedona Excentric. They chose the location based on the fact that other kids and some adults were calling them “braniac” and “wonder girl” each time they read a new edition. The Excentric World Staff collectively salutes the girls and advises them to shine up those old bikes, then sell them on eBay.   Related posts: Typical Excentric Reader Typical Excentric Reader Typical Excentric Reader Typical Excentric…

Typical Excentric Reader George Buchanan

This month’s typical Excentric Reader is George Buchanan of Dover, DE shown here with whom he refers to as “two fine ladies”–his wife, Peg, on one arm and their neighbor, Eileen, on the other. Judging solely by his arms, we believe Peg is to his left. All were standing outside of Sambo’s Tavern on the Delaware shore reading their favorite publication. We couldn’t help but notice the age restriction posted at the entrance. We certainly hope each of them were carrying identification, just in case they were carded. Excentric Reader Rita Rusch

This month’s typical Excentric Reader is Rita Rusch, taken while she was visiting the Lowell Observatory in nearby Flagstaff. Rita was reading her favorite “earthly entertainment” waiting for the gates to open to sky watchers to observe the world beyond. We found it puzzling that Rita’s face was slightly out of focus from the rest of the picture. Usually, we are to blame. Since she was so near the location to communicate with other worlds, we believe she may have made contact and was protecting her identity.   Related posts: Typical Excentric Reader Typical Excentric Reader… Typical Excentric Reader Typical…

Typical Excentric Reader

This month’s typical Excentric Reader is Preston Boyd, son of Joel, grandson to Rachel and friend to the Sedona Excentric. Preston stopped to gather some much needed energy and knowledge always found in the pages of his favorite publication, the Sedona Excentric, of course. He is photographed at Glacier National Park while on a hiking trip with his father, Joel, son to Rachel and friend to the Sedona Excentric. Note: Those are clouds atop the mountains and not smoke from active volcanoes. Phew! Related posts: Typical Excentric Reader Typical Excentric Reader . . . Typical Excentric Reader . . ….

Typical Excentric Reader

This month’s typical Excentric Reader is Pam Hopkins, shown here on vacation in Maxatlan holding her favorite paper. With her Sedona Excentric in hand, Pam poses at a courtyard at an outdoor mall. In the background is a man holding a sign that reads, “Official Taxi For Hire.” Pam couldn’t have picked a better spot than in front of Mazatlan’s only official taxi, in case she and her companion had the need to make an official getaway. Mazatlan is a stop for many cruises, which perhaps brought Pam there. Thanks, Pam. Related posts: Typical Excentric Reader George Buchanan Typical Excentric…

Typical Excentric Reader

This month’s typical Excentric Readers is Jacob Bloch, pictured on vacation in La Jolla California. He had hoped for an escape from what was supposed to be winter weather, ending up here with his favorite paper. Though we are not sure the exact location Jacob was vacationing from, we get a sense he was escaping from Northern Arizona. We tried a Facebook search for Jacob, but were unable to locate him. We are just happy Jacob took the time to email us his picture and hope he had a great vacation. How bad could it have been? He did, after…

Typical Excentric Reader

This month’s typical Excentric Readers is Tom Buroojy currently from New Jersey, formerly from Sedona. Here is a photo from my trip to Norway. Edvard Munch was so impressed with the Sedona Excentric that he painted “The Scream” to illustrate his “approval” of this infamous paper. One can easily imagine that Edvard Munch captured the look on most people’s faces when they first figured out the Sedona Excentric was satire. The Excentric is one of the best examples of life imitating art. Often, our staff members observe first-time Excentric readers in the exact pose of the subject in the famous…
