Q: I read articles recently about people who would be awakened in the middle of the night not being able to move for about a minute or so, panicking, heavy chest, and finding it hard to breathe. I told this to one of my friends at work and they said it was called “Old Hags Syndrom.” I had never heard of it and thought they were making it up, so I searched on my computer. Not only was it a medical condition, but there was a Facebook page dedicated to it. Has anyone written about this condition before?
A: Regular readers would know that I rarely repeat topics – so, no. I thought Old Hag Syndrome referred to my editor when he drank too much.
Q: I read this column in Transcendent TV and Media about Bigfoot where an authority on the subject claimed Sasquatch has a special connection to extraterrestrials. A speaker on the topic was in Tempe last month promoting his two books on this subject, “The Psychic Sasquatch and Their UFO Connection” and “The Sasquatch People and Their Interdimensional Connection.” According to this guy, Sasquatch are loving and caring, and if approached appropriately, will be very friendly with humans. Am I just jaded, or is this a load of you know what?
A: I don’t even know you. The fact you’re reading that article tells me you’re at least curious. If this guy is right, Bigfoot is one big-ass alien.
Q: According to their website, the Kennard Novelty Company designed, created and produced “The Wonderful Talking Board.” Other companies cropped up and produced the Volo Talking Board, Espirito Talking Board, Igili the Marvelous Talking Board and Nirvana Talking Board. Curiously, the buildings that built the original Ouija board burned down within 13 years of creation. Do you think the future telling boards have any real powers or are manipulated by the person or persons playing withe them?
A: I suggest you consult your personal Ouija board for the answer.
Q: A friend told me she was studying dream telepathy, where she would choose what she wanted to dream about and then it would be manifested into the universe to become reality. She says there is a relationship with this to Quantum Physics and that Einstein called it “spooky actions at a distance.” Could she be on to something here?
A: Who knows. Quantum Physics, where everything is connected is spooky enough. There are many, many people I’d rather not be connected to at all.
